I'm back with Festival of Trees

Hi all,

I've been getting ready for a trip to Louisiana for a family wedding. We fly out of Milwaukee Wednesday afternoon and will arrive in New Orleans around 7:30. I'm travelling with my two sisters, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law (mother of the groom, my brother is driving down from WI), my niece and my son. We're spending a couple nights in New Orleans and then heading north to Covington for the big event. I'm looking forward to weather in the 70s, great Cajun food, a beignet or two at Cafe du Monde and a fabulous time at the wedding! I have to put a few finishing touches on my card and will post a photo of it before I seal it in the envelope. I'm so looking forward to the get away!

Last Thursday I held a Festival of Trees class. Because everyone purchased the stamp set, I set out baby wipes for stamp cleaning. I think everyone left with great projects, big smiles and inky fingers! We made two cards and one 3D project. I had a dozen samples that included cards and tags, so everyone was able to go home with lots of ideas on how to use their new stamp set and punch. So, for the next week or so, my posts will be all about Festival of Trees. To own your own bundle to create the projects you'll be seeing, click here to purchase it on my 24/7 online store. Here is the first of the projects we made.

The biggest challenge on this card was tying the tiny bow! I got lots of practice and saved my guests some frustration. I cased this from Georgeann Manning. The greeting is from the Wondrous Wreath set. If you have any questions on how to create this card leave a comment and I'll follow up with you as soon as possible. I won't be taking my computer with me on this trip and will only have my phone. I don't do well keying on the tiny keypad - the fingernails get in the way...

Be sure to stop back to check out other Festival of Trees projects!

Until next time, take gentle care,
