Back from Convention

Wow!

What a fun week. I arrived in Orlando on Wednesday and was greeted by sunshine and warm temperatures. This Wisconsin girl was happy.

Being the 30th anniversary of Stampin' Up!, the crowd was huge. There were over 6,000 demonstrators from all over the world including Canada, Europe and the South Pacific. There was much anticipation for the doors to open on the first day!

One of the big highlights of the first day of convention was receiving a copy of the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs. There are LOTS of fun new stamp sets that found their way on to my must have list.

The days included many sessions showcasing different stamp sets and providing ideas on how to use them. There sure is a lot of creativity out there. Some of the presentations had us in tears of laughter! There were sessions where we could stamp projects using new items and I can't forget Prize Patrol! I came home with a bag of goodies. I'll get some photos and post them for you.

Here's a photo of me, Kay and my roommate Janet. The three of us had a great time together.

Updates that were shared include:
     * Due to popularity of clear mount and photopolymer stamps, wood mount stamps will be discontinued.
     * New clear mount stamps will have a cling sticker that sticks to the blocks like you wouldn't believe! There's actually a trick to getting them off of the blocks because they're so sticky - you're going to love them!
     * A bag for the Stamperatus will soon be available. It includes lots of room for tools and graph paper.
     * A beautiful bag that coordinates with the Stamperatus bag will hold your stamping needs when you're on the go and will be available to new demonstrators in 2019.
     * A chief technical officer was hired to work on the website to improve your shopping experience; more forms of payment will be accepted and there will be improved access to my online store.

I look forward to sharing samples made from the stamp sets I received along with additional fun photos from the weekend.

If you're in need of any SU! items, I'd greatly appreciate your shopping my online store. Click here for quick access.

Wishing you some RnR in your stamp room!

Take care,

Share What You Love

Hi all,

Share what you love is an ongoing message from Stampin' Up! A friend and fellow stamper creates cards each year for a prison ministry. When he mentioned this early in the year, I wanted to contribute. Throughout the year as I created cards, I'd make one or two extra and set them aside. When I was cleaning my craft room I found a package of retired in-color doilies. I also had the coordinating DSP, so to make good use of these producets, I created a design and prepped my materials. My sister and a friend came over one night and we put these 40 cards together. It was a relaxing evening.

As you receive this post in your mail box, I'm in sunny Florida having a fabulous time with 7000 Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world. It's a mass of people who are over-the-top excited about ink, stamps and paper. It's a blast! I'll be sure to share more about the weekend when I return.

For a limited time you can purchase items from the Snowflake Showcase. Click here to check out a video showcasing the amazing products in this suite.

Until next time - happy stamping!

Excitement ahead!

Yipes!

It's November already. How did that happen? Here in Wisconsin, the weather change from fall to winter is underway. There's nothing better on a cold, rainy afternoon than a lovely cuppa tea.

On a trip to London several years ago, I reveled in the centuries old business of Fortnum and Mason. If you are a foodie, you likely know this store.

I'm a coffee drinker, but have been working on acquiring a taste for tea. I bought a box of Black tea with Lemon tea bags and found I absolutely love it. My son restocked on one of his trips to London and I stocked up again in spring when I was there.

My friend is a tea lover and I wanted to share my F&M tea with her, but wanted to come up with a fun package. I used Cajun Craze and some retired product. The pumpkins are made using an oval and a circle punch. I placed the punched pieces in an embossing folder and ran them through the Big Shot to get some texture. Soft Suede was used to sponge the edges of the pieces. The circle in back is Mossy Meadow. I cut the stems from Mossy Meadow free hand.

Laura really likes this tea too and was happy to receive this fun little package. I like to share and figure, when I'm out, it's time to head to London! Not the most cost efficient way to purchase tea - but fun!!

So why the heading 'Excitement ahead'? Tomorrow I leave for Orlando for the 30th anniversary celebration of Stampin' Up! 7000 SU! demos from all over the world are expected to attend. There will be 100 folks from our Pals group and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, learning some new things, receiving fabulous new free products and some warm temperatures.

SU! events are always so much fun. I'll be sure to fill you in when I return!

October 31, 2018

I've been enjoying meeting the people in my neighborhood and have had lots of fun leaving treats in their paper boxes. This morning, these haunting post it notes will be waiting for pick up!

I found the Halloween mini pens and post it notes at Dollar Tree. Treats like this are a great way for me to use my retired products. I've not totally lost track of time in my craft room in quite a while. As I was working on these - on a week night and I do work a full time job - I looked at the clock and it was 1:30 AM!! All I needed was a third cup of coffee the next day. I have more treats than neighbors, so will have fun handing them out when I'm out and about.

Need supplies for your own treats? I'd love to be your SU! contact. Shop here.

Hope your day is filled with many treats!

Welcome!

After a long hiatus, I am back.

Where have I been? Well, let's see. My mom died and I've been working on my parent's estate for over a year; I sold my home and downsized to a condo; finished the lower level for a man cave for my son and created a 'she cave' for me; I had two hips replaced; travelled to Europe to see my son who was studying abroad and this fall got him settled into his first college apartment in Madison; spent many weekends with my 'littles' - my great niece and nephews; have been creating a crafting space in my new home and started holding classes again. I feel like life is getting back to normal.

I've been stamping and crafting and am looking forward to sharing again.

This fall, I decided I wanted to learn to arrange flowers, looked for local classes and reverted to my good 'ole standby - YouTube. Did you know you can search Dollar Tree DIY and find great tutorials that include a shopping list? I had fun making this fall wreath for my front door and impressed myself with the way it turned out! I have to admit, I'm easily impressed:)

There's still time to order Stampin' Up! products to create your holiday cards. I'd love for you to shop with me. Click here to go to my online store.

Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter for tips and techniques. Please leave a comment to let me know I'm not alone on this blog!

Take gentle care,
