Festival of Trees II

Hi all,

This morning I'm putting the last items into our luggage and before I pick up my son, Michael from school, I need to get on line to register for an upcoming Stampin' Up! event. For those of you who are long time SU! customers, you know that January means Sale-a-bration! This a great event that allows you to choose free items for each $50 purchase. December 3rd SU! is holding a Sale-a-bration catalog kick off event that will be broadcast LIVE at movie theaters in designated cities throughout the nation. The Wisconsin event will be held in Kenosha. I attended the holiday catalog kick off and it was a great event. I'm looking forward to getting a sneak preview of the new catty. Anyway, I digress - I do this when I'm excited and I'm excited for my trip and also excited to showcase another of the projects we created at the Festival of Trees class.

The first card we made had a very elegant look, click here for photo. Today's card was designed by Sandy Dixon and features the Under the Tree Specialty DSP and a homespun look.

This card came together quite easily. Be sure to save the punched out tree for another of your projects. The patterned DSP made aligning a straight tree a breeze! Much easier than using fishing line to tie the tree to the drapery rods like we did at times when I was a kid!

I will be holding Stamping 101 classes in mid-November. If you're interested in stamping, but have never tried it or are new to the craft, I'll be explaining the basic tools and techniques you'll need to get started. You'll go home with lots of information and of course a couple projects that you will create! Stay tuned for more details.

Thanks so much for stopping. If you like what you see, leave a comment; I love hearing from you.

Until next time, take gentle care,
