Butterfly Basics and Weekly Deals

Greetings all!

A couple weeks ago I sent my cousin a set of note cards made with the beautiful Lotus Blossom stamp from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. She liked them so much, she asked me to make a set of cards for her to give a friend as a birthday gift and specified a polka dot envelope liner. I didn't want to use the same stamp set, so I broke out the versatile Butterfly Basics set and went to work. She asked for 12 cards, half thank you and half thinking of you. I made three designs; this is the first.

I started with a Daffodil Delight base and stamped the fern using Versamark ink to provide some texture. With Old Olive as a contrast color, I stamped the fern twice without reinking, then inked, stamped off and added one more image to the panel. The Butterfly Thinlts* are definitely the star of this show especially finished off with a row of pearls colored with Daffodil Delight Blendabilities (medium). The sentiment is from the Wetlands Set.

The Butterfly Basics* set is perfect for creating collage cards; there are eleven wonderful elements from which to choose. Stay tuned for the rest of the set. Products used in this project and a link to my online store are listed below.
