Happy Anniversary Beach and Dream!

You're looking for the back story on this one, aren't you? Today my sister and brother in law, Beth and Dave, are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, nothing like milestones to make you realize how quickly time goes by.

So, what is Beach and Dream all about? When they started dating, my dad referred to Dave as Dreamboat, based on a song from the '40's, "When My Dreamboat Comes Home". The nickname stuck. It went from Dreamboat to DB and has settled into Dream. When my son, Michael, was born, my husband wanted my sister to have a nickname and for whatever crazy reason, he came up with Beachball, which after years of using her "full name" has now been shortened to Beach. In Michael's pre-school and elementary years, I always had to identify these two major players in Michael's life so teachers would understand what he was talking about. He always referred to them as "my Beach and my Dream". They love Michael to pieces and have embraced their nicknames; they even named their boat "Beach and Dream"!

Beach and Dream are two of my very best friends. I don't know what I'd do without them in my life or in Michael's life. I wanted to make a special card for their big day and this is what I created.

The photo makes it look black and white, but it is black, white and silver. I hope they like it and I pray they have many more happy years together!
