So Thankful Blog Hop

2014novhop_badgeWelcome to the November Pals Blog Hop, we are thankful you stopped by.  This month we are showcasing projects that show our thanks, including both thank you and Thanksgiving themed projects.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from stop #28, Kim Jolley at Stampin' Artfully on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing projects.
Heading to the home of a family member or friend to celebrate the holiday? Here's an idea for a hostess gift that will truly show your gratitude!

Show appreciation to your host with a good bottle of wine personalized with a bottle tag. The tags are so very easy to create: cut card stock 2 1/2" x 9" and score at 7". Use your 1 1/4" circle punch in the 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" square at one end of the tag. Embellish to your heart's delight!
The tags will also work on bottles of olive oils, hot sauce, hand soap or bubble bath. It's a great way to "wrap" a gift with a wow factor!
I'd love to hear your ideas on other gifts that could be "tagged". To share your idea, leave a comment below. Remember, we often learn from other's creative thoughts!

The Wondrous Wreath stamp set and matching framelits are proving to be more versatile than I ever imagined. Creating an embellishment sure to please was a snap. I finished it off with a linen thread ribbon and a medium gold button. Dont' forget the dimensionals to give it a pop!

The next stop is #30, Becky Volpp at Inkblossomwithbecky  on the Pals Blog Hop!
Thanks for visiting. Be sure to stop back on Saturday, November 15, 2014 for a quick and easy treat holder tutorial. I hope to see you on the hop next month.

Vendor Fair today

Hi all!

Saturday I joined 5 other direct sales vendors for an open house event hosted by Jean. Here is my practice set up.

This is the first one of these I've done. It was day. Thanks to those of you who stopped in. I do have some of my candy items left, if you're interested in making a purchase, let me know!

If you or someone you know is interested in learning stamping basics, I have scheduled a couple Stamping 101 classes, Saturday, November 15th from 9-11 am and on Tuesday, November 18th from 6-8. We'll talk about the must have tools for new stampers, paper, ink and will make a card for you to take home. There is no charge for this class, but you do need to reserve a space so I can prepare materials for you. Feel free to bring a friend. For the experienced stampers reading this, what is on your "must have tools" list? Leave a comment below and I'll be sure to incorporate your suggestion in my class.

Thanks for stopping - have a great day.

Weekly Deals

Check out these great deals!

Here are a couple samples using the Festival of Trees and Bright and Beautiful stamp sets. What are you creating today?

All is Calm DSP and Lost Lagoon help to create this calming holiday card

I broke out the Trim the Tree DSP paper stack to add the Garden Green polka dots to this Christmas greeting.

I love the look of the the Stylish Stripes embossing folder on Night of Navy. 1/8" silver ribbon and a few rhinestones make this card sparkle!

I'm loving Lost Lagoon! The Zig Zag embossing folder provides a great background for the stamped stars. Twinkling in the middle is a star made from Silver Glimmer paper. The Lost Lagoon ribbon accent gives the feel of a shooting star.

To purchase these or any other SU! product, click here to shop my online store.

These are all easy cards to create; I'm sure your friends and family would love receiving any one of them in the mail this holiday season. If you like these cards as much as I do, I'd love to read you comments!

Thanks so much for stopping and until next time, take gentle care,

Weekly Deals and Weekend Update

Hi all,

We arrived home from our Louisiana weekend around 1 yesterday afternoon. I was up at 4 to pack up and head to the airport. We had a wonderful weekend. The wedding was beautiful, the bride - stunning.

My nephew has had his share of challenges over the past couple years and it makes an aunt's heart smile to see him happy.

On Sunday, we met up with the newlyweds in New Orleans; they were in town to attend the Saints/Packer game. We took to Bourbon Street along with many other crazy football fans. I can't remember laughing so hard and having that much fun in a long time. Unfortunately, our Packers didn't fare well, but we still back 'em! You will note that the Louisiana born and bred bride is a Saints fan - we don't hold that against her! What a great weekend!

Now, on to important stamping stuff! It's Tuesday and time for new deals for the week.

To purchase these or any other items, click here to go to my 24/7 online store.

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

A forest!

Hi All!

Today's card features a forest designed by Deb Valder. If you've ever walked through a forest you most often see trees of varied sizes. I say most often because adjacent to our northern Wisconsin property located in the heart of the Nicolet National Forest is a section of federal land that years back was clear cut, then planted with red and white pines that were all of about 6" high. Now, you can barely walk through the area it is so thick and the trees are fairly uniform in size. Again, I digress....

So, the talented Ms Valder has created a tutorial that shows you how to use your tree punch to create trees of many sizes. In following this tutorial, I learned this is a card that cannot be easily mass produced, but it sure packs a punch.

The sentiment is from the Good Greetings stamp set that can be yours for FREE. Click here to find out how.

Enjoy and until next time, take gentle care,
