Onstage Local

Hi all,

What a fun day I had yesterday. Because Stampin' Up! is now a global company, the way in which the demonstrator gatherings are being held has changed. Yesterday, demonstrators throughout the world got together for learning, stamping, friendship and seeing the new product catalogs that will be available 1/1. The main gathering was held in Brussels, Belgium, but I was fortunate because one of the six US gatherings was held in Milwaukee. I was very surprised to learn that the Milwaukee gathering had the most attendees!

The day was great in that I also make a new SU! friend. Through the magic of our Pals Facebook group, I met Natalie Bush from Shell Lake, WI and invited her to spend the weekend with me. We had a great weekend getting to know each other. At the event, I was also able to meet a fellow Pals Bobbi Lang Lewis from Michigan and Marines Hesslau from Illinois. We partnered with Lisa Pretto's InkBig group for a card swap and had a wonderful time! I brought home 3 new stamp sets and a package of DSP, 4 make 'n takes, several Stampin' Up! logo items, the Watercolor Wishes card kit from the very generous Lisa  Pretto and lots of great memories.

My one adventure of the day was getting locked into a bathroom stall! After struggling for about 2 minutes on my own, I asked for help. I think there were 5 women on the other side of door pulling and tugging - talk about an embarrassing moment! About five minutes later, someone grabbed the bottom of the door and voila, it popped right open. I profusely thanked my rescuers and headed back to my table, I overheard stampers informing others to stay away from that stall! Never a dull moment!!!

After enjoying breakfast with Natalie that consisted of french toast from my homemade cinnamon bread - yum, Natalie left for home and I headed to my craft table

I have two birthdays this week for special guys in my life. I CASEd this card from Pinterest and just love it! I know the leaves are off the trees, but until the snow is piled outside, I will continue to use this great stamp set!
I don't have the corrugated paper, so scored a piece of crumb cake at 1/8" intervals prior to cutting it with the framelit. I do love all of the texture in this card, don't you? Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

As soon as I'm able, I'll share projects with the newest SU! products - you're going to love them!

Thanks for stopping, have a great week!

Sue
