Check out these GREAT weekly deals!

If you own a Big Shot, there are TWO thinlit sets on sale this week that really should be included in your crafting supplies. Must have items at 25% off - who can resist?

The Mini Treat Bag Thinlits are perfect for Halloween treats, used to hold utensils at your Thanksgiving table or as a gift card holder for the Christmas holiday. The ideas are only limited by your mind and when that happens, there's always Pinterest! Here is a sample I made earlier this year:

The Butterflies Thinlits are such a beautiful feature on any project. Your card can be quick and easy - let the butterfly take center stage!

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for September.  This month we are showing off our favorite new products from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  We hope you enjoy our projects!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Becky Volpp at InkBlossomwithBecky on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
We die hard stampers have a difficult time with new catalogs; it's so hard to not want everything! For the past 5 or 6 years, I've created a holiday card for a business owned by a friend. Each year I look for a stamp set that will work for that project. This year Berry Merry caught my eye. I love to hear the feedback from Mark's clients and work to create a card that will stand out from the pre-printed cards his clients receive from other service providers. This is one of the choices I'll be providing for this year's card.
I am loving A Little Something for the background stamps in the set. I used Versamark and the snowflakes to add some detail to the background. The sentiment from Berry Merry is embossed onto Night of Navy with a mix of Silver and Iridescent Ice. Tombow, 'green glue' was used to attach the sentiment to the Silver Glimmer Paper. The Iced Rhinestone Embellishments finish off the card front.

This is my first go at a tunnel card. Look out, they are addicting and really pack a wow! If this is the card that is chosen, I may be over my addiction after making 200 of them!

I would love your feedback on this project. If you have any questions or thoughts, please leave a comment below.

The next stop is Jennifer Spiller at Westside Paper Creations on the Pals Blog Hop!  Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!

Punch Art Car

After over a year of "gentle encouragement", my son finally got his driver's license. I don't understand the reticence he and many of his friends had in pursuing their license; I couldn't wait to get mine! It is a momentus occasion in a teen's life and a special card was called for.

It did bring a smile to his face. Hmmm, maybe it wasn't the card I made, but the gift card for gas that I tucked inside of it! Either way, he felt celebrated!

If you have any cause for celebration in your life, the Bravo stamp set is a must have. The photopolymer stamp has the ability to 'bend', so I was able to have my sentiment follow the line of the arch. Click on the photo below to order Bravo from my online store.

Holiday Catalog: Are you enjoying all the great new products in the holiday catalog? A link to the catalog is located in the bar to the right in my blog. If you've not yet received a hard copy, contact me via the email link to the right and I'll send one off to you.

Thanks so much for sharing a moment with me. Make it a great day!

Acorny Greeting

I am finally making time to play with the products I ordered from the new holiday catalog. If you'd like your own copy of the catalog, click on my email link in the bar to the right to make a request and I'll get it right out to you.

The Acorny Thank You comes with a coordinating punch that can be purchased as a bundle to save you 15%. This bundle is the focus of an upcoming class. I started creating my projects and samples.

This card was inspired by the Pals Paper Arts color challenge for this week. When you feel your creativity is lacking, a challenge is always a good way to kick start your mojo. There are many challenges available, but being a member of the Pals, the PPA challenge is my go to place for inspiration. The colors for this challenge absolutely say FALL! And what better set for fall than Acorny Thank You.

No coordinating DSP? Create your own! I used the leaves from A Little Something to create my background for this card. Delightful Dijon Dotted Lace Trim covers a piece of Cajun Craze card stock. The Acorny Thank You stamp set does the rest of the work for you.

Tip: Use dimensionals to pop up the top of your acorn. Dimensionals were also used on the sentiment to bring it to the foreground.

This a quick and easy card you can create in a short amount of time. It will brighten the day of the person who receives it!

Challenge: I challenge you to send a "no reason" card this week to someone who could use a bright spot in their day. Think of that person you keep meaning to contact, but just haven't made the time to do it. Sharing your creativity will mean the world to them.

Thanks for stopping. Make it a great day!

If the broom fits....

I recently participated in a "purple" challenge. I don't often use purple, so needed to think about that. I have a box of goodies from the new catalog, so I started there and pulled out 'If the Broom Fits". My sisters and I have used that phrase for many years, so when I saw it, I simply couldn't resist!

Additional products from the holiday catalog that are featured in this card include Happy Haunting DSP layered onto Elegant Eggplant along with the Gold Cording Trim bow on the broom handle. This was such fun to put together! I mimicked the stars in the DSP on the gold banner using the Lucky Stars embossing folder. The stars on the inside of the card are from a set in the annual catalog, "Be the Star" I'm giving a set of these cards to my older sister (don't tell her!). She'll enjoy sending them out.

If you enjoy this project, be sure to sign up to receive my blog updates. By entering your email address in the field in the right column, my updates will be sent right to your mailbox.

Thanks for stopping. Have a great holiday weekend!
