My BEST Birthday Card!

Hi all,

I recently celebrated a birthday and had to share the birthday card, from all that I received, that is my favorite!

This card was created by very special littles in my life. Miss Mila is 3 and her sister Neva is 1. I know a great deal of time, effort and special thoughts went into this creation and I had to share it with you.

A special card deserves a bright and cheery thank you. This went off in the mail to the girls, their mom and dad.

The base is Granny Apple Green. I used a retired polka dot embossing folder to help with polka dot placement. Melon Mambo is topped by polka dots in Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Pacific Point and Granny Apple Green. The stitched rectangle framelits, Thank You thinlit and a few a few rhinestones finished off my project.

To build up the Thank you and give it more stability, I adhered 5 Thank You layers together, using 5 different colors.

I used dots of Tombow glue. You can always use Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheets, but I find the Tombow gives me a bit of wiggle room.

This was a fun project to create. I hope you like it.

Incredible Like You Pillow Box

Greetings all!

When my long time stamp group comes to my home, I like to have a small treat at each place for my peeps to take home with them. Although they didn't literally receive this as a pillow gift 😊, the Kraft Pillow Boxes were the foundation for a sweet treat for each of them.

The pillow boxes and Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems were a gift from my upline, Mary Fish when we got together at OnStage in Orlando in October. I cased the idea from the SAB catalog. What's inside you may ask? Jordon Almonds - yum!

When you're looking for a quick and easy way to package a treat, gift card, party favor or love note, the Kraft Pillow Boxes are a sure solution. You get 10 printed, die-cut boxes for $5.

The possibilities for topping these boxes are endless.

For my project I started with Powder Pink DSP from the 2017-2019 In Color DSP pack. I partnered it with the Incredible Like You stamp set and complementing Berry Burst ink and cardstock. A Petal Pink Rhinestone Gem added a bit of sparkle and the sweet sentiment is from the Lasting Lily stamp set.

Supplies to create this project are listed below. Simply click on the link to purchase from my online store. I'd love to have you as a customer!

Lasting Lily Inspiration

Welcome to the Pals' February blog hop. We're so glad you're here because it's "Time to Sale-A-Brate"! Our Design Team created projects using Sale-A-Bration items to inspire you. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal's blog. Either way, you've come to the right place. You'll find the full line-up below to help you move, or "hop" along from Pal to Pal.

I fell in love with Lasting Lily when I saw it an OnStage in Orlando. I love stamps that make a statement when they stand alone - makes for easy stamping and great for beginners.

To get my creative juices flowing, I often like to be inspired by other stampers. I CASEd this card from Jan Clothier and used it to teach the masking technique* in one of my classes.

Color combo: Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Granny Apple Green

It's so much fun hearing and seeing the excitement when people create a project they love. And this card was a hit!

Well, I couldn't stop there, so I CASEd my CASE!

Color Combo: Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana and Pear Pizazz

I really like the offset panels in this layout. The simple, added bling in the corner finished this card to my satisfaction.

This lily and I were on a roll, so I CASEd a CASE of a CASE - you with me on that??

Color Combo: Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizazz

Which is your favorite? Let me know by sharing a comment below.

The best news is that you can get this stamp set FREE with a $100 purchase.

Inside tip: From March 1-31, you'll be able to order the Framelits for this set!
The sentiments included in this set are perfect for sympathy, get well, wedding and thinking of you cards.

Lasting Lily is a DistInktive stamp, meaning there's lots of detail in the stamp; it does all of the work for you. Some folks have had some challenges getting a clean impression that shows the beauty of the stamp.

TIPS:

Lightly tap the ink to the stamp versus putting the stamp to the ink.

Or, apply the ink using a sponge dauber

Your images will vary depending on the 'jucieness' of your ink pad

Remember - in God's garden no two flowers are alike, make your garden your own

For the leaves, I used both ends of the leaf and the ends of the stems

Masking* - Stamp an image on a 'sticky note' getting the majority of the image on the sticky part and cut it out using your snips. Stamp your focal image. Now you can add images "behind" your focal point by covering your focal image with the piece you cut out and stamping over the top of it. I had masks for both the large an small lily making it possible to add the stems.

Sponging - I used a wedge of a stamping sponge to fill in the background. Use a very light touch; you can always go over the area to darken it. A light touch also allows you to get into small spaces without affecting the color of your lilies.

Measurements for my projects are included in my weekly newsletter.

It's a Blooming Birthday Triangle Box!

A co-worker who I enjoy is celebrating a birthday this month and I wanted to give her a little something. I'm a believer in, "it's not necessarily what's inside that counts". Why? Because I love creating fun packaging with Stampin' Up! products!

The Pineapple Punch cardstock is a bright and cheery base for the beautiful Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper.

The shape of this box is so fun.

It's self-closing too!

The Amazing Life stamp set had just the sentiments I needed and the Silver Sequin Trim gave me just the right amount of sparkle.

I think my co-worker will LOVE the packaging and she'll likely enjoy the chocolate inside too!
